TREATMENT
After the initial diagnosis, a treatment program is devised.
In cases where the child has specific health issues, the parents will be informed from the very first visit, of the possbility of pharmaceutical support that the child will have before starting the therapy.
At the VSmile dentist the program is designed so that the therapy is done using the least possible visists, and each visit as shorter time as possible.
The therapy always begins with the part of the mouth that has the worst problem. During the visit we try to finish all of the work required in that quadrant so that the child does no undergo anesthesia on the same side again.
We must emphasize that all of the visits are undertaken with a psychological approach that the child learns to trust us and speak freely about any concerns they have.
KEEPING UP THE RESULTS:
At the end of the therapy it is important to keep the results that have been achieved. To this end we teach the children about an oral hygiene routine and encourage them to keep it up.
If the children are younger we show the parents how to brush their child's teeth and suggest various ideas to make this process seem more like a game. It's important that parents are well informed on the importance of prevention and how to achieve it.
REGULAR CHECK-UPS:
The VSmile Piraeus dental clinic let's parents know by email or sms, a short while before the next check-up due - usually around six months.
