Orthodontic Removable Braces / Mouthguards
orthodontic therapy without braces!
The most classic orthodontic therapy for years was based on irremovable braces. Due to scientific advancements in orthodontics and technology in the area of computers, there are now new modern techniques that can be used for therapy.
Removable braces can be used as the main therapy or as part of the complete therapy.
The use of removable braces is completely painless, which makes it a more welcoming option for children as well as adults. The intraoral devices are easily removed and cleaned by the patient, and as such they are able to upkeep good oral hygiene and they can be used by patients that have peridontal disease and pregnant ladies.
Removable devices in the form of a mouthguard are used by the VSmile Piraeus dental team, the orthocaps technique can be used by teenagers and adults, are transparent and therefore virtually invisible to the people around you (see invisible dentistry). This option means that the patient is able to carry on their personal and social lives and activities during the time period they are under therapy.
