TOOTH JEWELLERY STRASS:
since the Mayan times...til today!
What is tooth jewellery?
Decorating teeth has it roots back to Mayan times! 2500 years ago the Mayans had already developed a high level of understanding regarding dentistry and dental science and had many tools used to scrap the teeth and create small holllows that were then decorated with semi-previous stones.
Tooth decoration nowadays is a non-surgical process whereby the jewellery can be placed on the tooth without the need to remove any of the tooth's substance. The jewels are simply placed onto the tooth, without any drilling and are easily removed whenever the patient requires without leaving any marks.
What type of jewels are there?
At the VSmile dental clinic, you can choose from a wide range of jewels, in different sizes, designs and colours. The jewels are made either out of crystals (plain strass) or out of precious metals (white gold 18k or gold 24k and 22k) enriched by diamons, rubies or Swarovski crystals.

Which tooth are they attached to?
Tooth jewels are usually placed on the front top teeth (lateral areas and canines), so that they are visible when you smile. Please note that tooth jewels are attached to natural teeth or retin coatings, they cannot be placed on prosthetics made of porcelain.
How much do they cost?
The cost is determined by the type of jewel chosen by the patient and they placement on the teeth.
